Wales’ first purpose-built combined Welsh medium school opens

Bro Tefi, the new Super School in Llandysul combining five existing schools opened its doors to its first students in September 2016.

This brand new state-of-the-art £34.5 million education facility will eventually accommodate over 1,000 pupils and is Wales’ first, purpose-built combined primary and secondary Welsh-medium community school.

Working with Willmott Dixon, Swanmac installed a range of window shading and signage solutions including:

  • 200 roller blinds
  • high level curtains and tracks
  • 150 fire exit signs and
  • 50 metres of window manifestation.

Its purpose-built design has also enabled the Bro Tefi to be energy self-sufficient by using natural light, ventilation and photovoltaic panels.

We are very happy to have been a part of this project and wish the students and teachers of Bro Tefi much success!
