Commercial roller blinds for Sandwell’s first new secondary school in a decade

In September 2016, the first new secondary school to be built in the Sandwell borough for over a decade, opened its doors to its first Year 7 pupils.

The new school, called the Q3 Academy Langley, is based on the site of the previous school which closed in 2007, and expects to grow to some 1,500 pupils on its roll.

The team at Swanmac are delighted to have supported this development with the installation of commercial duty roller blinds and window manifestations throughout.  These products offer protection from solar glare and modify temperature, whilst the window manifestations also provide safety by adding an additional barrier and helping glass panels become more easily visible.

This project was led by Interserve Construction and we are very happy to have worked with them, supporting the pursuit of the very best environments in education.
