The Swanmac team are delighted to have worked with Vinci Construction UK and architects Stride Treglown on a project to deliver a 544 self-contained student rooms in the heart of Cardiff’s new Capital Quarter.
The Capital Quarter itself includes hotels, offices and student accommodation across an area of some 8 acres, with these particular student rooms taking a 1.7acre site on the South East of the city centre. The accommodation varies from single occupancy with individual living spaces and bathroom, through to 6 bed ‘cluster’ flats that offer a private bedroom and en-suite with shared communal facilities.
The students will also benefit from a highly social experience including common and games room, a gym and cinema in addition to laundry, study and dining rooms.
In providing a home-from-home experience, Swanmac have installed over 800 curtains and curtain tracks to this high-quality student accommodation. Curtains offer a distinctly homely feel in addition to providing temperature control, light management, and importantly dust prevention. Curtains naturally attract dust from the immediate surrounding area. A quick shake and they are dust free – leaving students free to do what they do best … study!
