Vertical, Blackout and Roller blinds for Pembrokeshire’s newest 21st Century School

BAM Construction are currently delivering the £11 million redevelopment of Ysgol Bro Gwaun.  The school is an English/Welsh comprehensive based in Fishguard and the works are due for completion in 2018.

The project is a part of the 21st Century Schools programme, which aims to create modern, creative environments in which pupils will excel.  The existing hall, gym and relatively new technology block will be retained, but the rest of the school is being demolished and replaced by a brand new state-of-the-art three storey teaching block.  This will include a Learning Resource Centre, a satellite unit and two multi-use games areas.    Such a significant redevelopment will also necessitate the adaptation of the school around the road.

Swanmac have been briefed to install roller blinds to all classrooms, blackout blinds in all laboratories and vertical blinds to offices – totalling 110 blinds in all.

Such a range of products ensures that each window shading solution is suited to its required purpose.  Whether privacy, the maintenance of solar exposure or total blackout is required – Swanmac is able to provide the most appropriate – often perfect – solution!

We look forward to working with BAM Construction on the completion of this project.
