Chain operated roller blinds for Pencoed School

Due for completion this Summer, a new two-storey school will replace the existing Pencoed Primary School as part of the Welsh Government’s 21st Century School Programme.

The school will accommodate 70 children with Special Educational Needs and over 500 children of primary school age and will house sports facilities for the school itself and the wider community.

In integrating the current school into one site, a huge benefit of the new premises will mean that pupils will no longer need to cross a busy road in order to get to classes multiple times a day.

Constructed by BAM, the building will be energy efficient and provide a much-enhanced teaching and learning environment by maximising natural light and ventilation.  The Swanmac team will be on site in August to install over 250 chain operated roller blinds to classrooms, and electrically operated roller blinds to windows in the hall, both giving much needed protection from glare and harmful rays.

We wish the pupils of the much-improved school every success!
