This autumn, the University of Gloucestershire Business School will move to a new, state-of-the-art building on the new Oxstalls campus of the university. It’s a development that will become home to Business, Marketing, HR, Law, Accounting and Finance courses, at an investment of £16 million.
In its design, architects Austin Smith Lord’s concept was based around the university’s progressive approach towards learning. Designed over three storeys, the building aims to create a sense of direction and, will do this through the building materials used with each showcasing key activity spaces to both students and visitors. The building will include an innovative collaborative lecture theatre, a moot (or mock) court and trading room in addition to seminar rooms and various breakout spaces.
Contractors Willmott Dixon have instructed Swanmac to 250 heavy duty chain operated roller blinds to all office and teaching areas with electrically operated blackout blinds for the ground floor lecture theatres. And we’re delighted to oblige!
