Silent Gliss Roller Blinds for Portmeirion Castle

Swanmac is very pleased to be working with a new client, The Portmeirion Italian Village in Gwynedd. The village is famous as the location of the 1960s television programme ‘The Prisoner’ and it’s also a popular tourist attraction and is a much-admired corporate events, filming and wedding venue.

Developed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, the village was designed to pay homage to the Mediterranean, with heavy influences from Portofino. The iconic village was built over a 50-year period from and operates as a charitable trust.  It sits on the estuary of the River Dwyryd and offers visitors two hotels, a range of unique cottages, a spa, cafes and restaurants, an authentic Italian gelateria, gardens and of course, beautiful beaches.

Within the grounds also lies a castle overlooking a Victorian walled garden.  It has 11 contemporary styled rooms that are available for stays.  Soon to undergo renovation, we are delighted to have been appointed to install Silent Gliss roller blinds within the castle itself. Robust and stylish, our blinds will be in keeping with their elegant surroundings!
