Blackout blinds make it possible to prevent light from entering a room, we have installed in science laboratories, operating theatres and video conference rooms to name but a few applications for this effective product.
The design of our blackout system products means that they are able to be a stylish and attractive addition to any room. These blackout blinds can be used to block different types of light source including skylights. You can operate your blinds by using a conventional chain pull, crank handle or motorised by remote control/wall switch.
Standard blackout blinds are essentially a blackout fabric on our standard blind systems. This is a great way to simply block sunlight from a room in order to achieve darkness. However, this doesn’t completely black out the light as there will still be gaps on the edge of the blinds. This is when the fully enclosed systems are used.
KuroLok features extruded aluminium headbox and slim side channels. The blind fabric is locked into the side channels using zip technology. The aluminium profiles are powder coated in white or black as standard, or any other RAL colour to order.
Headboxes are either 100mm or 125mm high, depending on blind size. The slim side channels are only 35mm wide. A wider 56mm side channel is also available. Sturdy steel legs connect the headbox and side channels to create a rigid frame. Universal profiles allow the frame to be fixed through the face, sides or top as required and all fixings are completely concealed.
KuroLok blinds can be operated manually via chain or crank handle, or motorised with many control options available. Motors with obstacle detection are also available for added safety.
