In May 2014, SDC Construction instructed the team at Swanmac to install sunscreen roller blinds at the new Admiral Insurance headquarters in Newport, South Wales.
The project resulted in the installation of over 300 chain operated sunscreen roller blinds throughout the building. Our commercial roller blinds ensure that members of staff are easily able to control the levels of light that enter their working space and that they are protected from harmful rays and glare. This works to ensure that the optimum working environment is provided, which in turn, contributes to a productive and happy team!
Admiral’s new HQ was an important move for Newport city centre and was a key feature in the regeneration of the area adjacent to Newport’s railway station. Designed by Holder Mathias, the 80,000 sq ft of office space holds up to 1200 staff. Based around a triangular atrium linking staff break-out spaces on all levels – a ‘social spine’ has been created. This was key to the design with staff welfare being a core requirement of the design brief.
We were delighted with this instruction for a FTSE 100 company renowned for its focus on staff wellbeing.
