Avanti Grange in Hertfordshire is committed to providing an engaging and enriching education to its pupils.
At an investment of £32m, it will provide 1,200 pupil places to pupils from Stortford Fields and St Michael’s Hurst. The school itself is a contemporary two-storey building of concrete frame structure and brick façade.
The south side of the site is home to the main school campus with a central, full-height glazed spine linking classrooms, break-out areas and communal spaces plus a sports hall and multi-use games area. The northern side, which is accessed via a steel pedestrian link bridge across the A120, will host five grass sports pitches and three large terraced areas.
Swanmac Ltd is under instruction from ISG Construction to install roller blinds throughout the school plus fully enclosed blackout binds and rooflight blinds during September 2023.
Fully enclosed blackout blinds create complete darkness thanks to side guides that prevent light leakage of any kind whilst the roof light blinds ensure that light and heat levels within the building are easily managed thanks to their radio operation.
