Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Bishop’s Stortford High School will soon move to a brand new £30m site half a mile from its current location.

The school currently accommodates 1,200 students comprising single-sex education for boys at comprehensive age and a co-ed sixth form. This new school will increase capacity to 180 sixth form students per year, resulting in 900 students aged 9-11 and 400 in sixth form. The new site also offers the potential to expand, which will be essential should proposed major new housing in the area be approved.

Swanmac has been appointed to install sunscreen roller blinds throughout the school and blackout blinds in all laboratories. All of our blinds are child-safe and operate with a smooth mechanism to ensure seamless and silent operation to minimise any disruption to hard-working young minds.
