Atlantic College is an international school of high reputation with a respected alumni. It opened in the 1960s and since that time students have included a princess, an astronaut, an MEP and the son of a famous rock star.
The on-site student accommodation of the college has recently undergone re-development with the construction of two new 2-storey student accommodation buildings. Each houses 48 students in 4-bed dormitories with shared amenity spaces, quiet study areas, a day room kitchen and lounge.
Being situated on the site of St Donat’s Castle which dates back to the 12th Century with 18 Grade I and II listed buildings has meant that a fully-considered design has been essential, including the presentation of a Historic Impact Assessment to the guardian of Welsh historic monuments, Cadw.
Swanmac will be onsite during August 2020 to install blackout roller blinds to all bedrooms windows. Our blackout blinds are durable, wipe-clean and the perfect space-saving solution to a good night’s sleep for hard-working students!
We’re looking forward to being onsite and working with the team from Knox & Wells once more.
