A brand-new Ronald McDonald House Charities home is currently under construction within the grounds of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. The £14m project will become ‘home away from home’ for families of children undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Led by Wilmott Dixon, the facility will comprise of 62 bedrooms and communal facilities including lounges, playrooms and laundry rooms. It will provide an invaluable service, by alleviating time, tiredness and financial stress by enabling families to stay close to their relative without having to travel extensive distances or pay for hotels.
Swanmac will be on-site during the first quarter of 2020 to install curtains and roller blinds to all 62 bedrooms. This isn’t the first time that we’ve carried out an installation at a Ronald McDonald Charities home. We also installed a range of blinds, curtains and window manifestations at the Charity’s first house in Wales. We’re delighted with this further installation and look forward to the next.
