Work is just about to begin on a brand new sports centre and Design & Technology facility at Winchester College.
Kier Construction is the lead contractor on this project which will provide over 7,000m2 of brand new sports facilities including a 25m swimming pool, rifle range, plus squash and fives courts and a multi-functional sports hall with a viewing gallery.
The works extend further to the Design and Technology department which will be modernised and given a brand new floorplan.
This is a project that has been planned for many years and the College is excited that the improvements are now being realised!
Swanmac will be onsite to install radio operated roller blinds. They will consist of sunscreen fabric which will be mounted within a blind box. The blinds will be adjustable by remote control to pinpoint accuracy and because they’re mounted in a box, will be protected from any possible damage. Furthermore, the blinds are almost invisible when fully open, thanks to the mechanism being hidden inside the box.
