Kier Construction has instructed Swanmac to install dim-out roller blinds with side guides at a newly refurbished Student Hub within the University of Bristol in Summer 2020.
The works will come in at £1.7m and will transform the heart of student life on campus. These include a brand new food court, a Students Union café/bar plus a new information point with help and well-being advice. The hub will also be a place for students to socialise in the non-academic elements of student life.
Works will be phased to ensure that the building is accessible to students at all times.
Team Swanmac will be on-site to install a range of dim-out roller blinds. Ever popular, these blinds will limit the levels of light able to enter through the window when used. Whilst not required for total blackout, side guides will ensure that the blinds stay in place when extended which ensures that the levels of light are perfectly managed. The guides will also protect them from damage by keeping them securely in place, adding an additional dimension to an already robust shading solution.
