Caldicot is an 11-18 co-education school with over 1300 students in Monmouthshire and is a part of Monmouthshire County Council’s 21st Century schools programme.  In 2017/18 our team installed a range of roller and blackout blinds.  One of which has gone on to be used innovatively as a projector screen.

Blackout roller blinds deliver a superb blackout solution, however light can seep in through the side channels if the blind flutters or moves. For this installation, our installers used a blackout blind system with a built-in headbox

and side channels, ensuring that all sides and edges are fully enclosed.  This blackout blind is like all of our blinds, very robust, highly durable and able to withstand high levels of usage.  It was installed with motorised operation, ensuring pinpoint adjustment via a handheld remote control.  Thanks to the full blackout provided the blind is also able to be used as a projector screen to display presentations for use as a teaching aid.
