Caldicot School is part of Monmouthshire County Council’s ‘21st Century Schools Programme’, which will see two new schools built in the county over the next three years.
Swanmac is delighted to be working with Interserve to complete the build of the 13,076 square metres, three-storey school through the South East Wales Schools Capital Working Group. Work has begun on the project to build the new school which will open in September 2017 and house up to 1,500 students.
The new school will be built next to the existing Caldicot School, which will be demolished when the new school is complete. Swanmac is installing commercial roller blinds in the new school, together with blackout blinds and heavy-duty ZIP blinds in excess of 5 meters wide and 6 meters drop.
We look forward to seeing the result of this ambitious and exciting £36.5m project later this year.
