Location: Cardiff
Sector: Education
Specifier: Bouygues-UK
Products used: Heavy duty chain operated Roller blinds with sunscreen fabric.

The Cardiff Innovation Campus sits in the heart of the Welsh capital and has been designed to encourage academic researchers and staff, students and the public, private and third sectors to work together to influence policy, build businesses and create products.

Innovation Central will house SPARK – the world’s first social science research park and the Innovation Centre, the creative space for start-up and academic partnerships.

The campus will also showcase the Oculus staircase – the first of its kind in the UK! A sculptural, open staircase travelling through a slanting void that aims to drive engagement and collaboration between the varying departments and uses of the building.

The Translational Research Facility (TRF) is the second building, designed by HOK architects and will house the Institute for Compound Semiconductors and Cardiff Catalysis Institute.

Completion of this revolutionary campus is due during the Summer of 2021 and #TeamSwanmac will be on-site beforehand to install heavy-duty chain operated roller blinds with sunscreen fabric to both buildings.
