Creating 190 jobs and at an investment of £9m, a brand-new Cyber Security Centre for the Midlands is currently under construction. The development is a joint venture between the University of Wolverhampton and Herefordshire County Council and is an incubator space for start-up businesses.
The 2,000 sq m 3-storey building will provide training spaces on the ground floor, a cyber range which creates real-time hacking scenarios on the second floor and business space for tenants on the third floor which will also provide units and enlarged corridors with break-out seating areas. A full-height atrium will offer break-out spaces and a function hall.
As a shared unit, start-up businesses will be able to benefit from the expertise of the University, whilst being located in a state-of-the-art facility.
Swanmac has been appointed by contractor Speller Metcalfe to install fully enclosed blackout blinds. These blinds are perfect for working and training environments. When closed they ensure full blackout; perfect for business presentations. An added feature is the powder-coated casing which will be colour coordinated to match the interior design of the building.
#TeamSwanmac will be onsite in the Autumn 2020.
