The Deanery CE Academy is an inclusive academy for 11-18-year-olds in Swindon. The new academy will be of a 3-storey construction with enhanced sports and arts facilities and is due to open in September 2019.
Housing 1400 students, 400 of whom will make up the 6th-form, the school will be run by the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust and will allocate half of its paces to children of Christian faith across the Borough. An adjacent primary school is planned to open in 2020.
The academy will provide national-standard sports, arts and educational facilities and will also adopt a new educational approach for a school within the Swindon area by focusing on the whole child, including sports, leadership and creative arts, in addition to a strong academic programme.
Working with BAM Construction, Swanmac has been instructed to install fully enclosed crank operated blinds to all of the science laboratories, providing a safe environment both in operation and the resulting shading solution.
