Halo at Finzels Reach in Bristol is one of the UK’s most sustainable buildings and has achieved a BREEAM Outstanding rating.
Built on the site of what was previously Avon Fire and Rescue’s HQ, it provides workspace for 600 staff members who relocated from two separate sites in 2023. With just under 120,000 square feet of Grade A office space, the building sits across seven staggered floors and has sustainability at the heart of its design.
The design is modern, with a corkscrew staircase rising through a glass atrium; its design focuses on employee wellbeing. As such, the building includes rooftop space, a bike park, and a glazed façade to maximise views and allow daylight to enter the building.
Swanmac has been instructed to install Kvadrat curtains in all office and meeting room areas during the third quarter of 2024. Kvadrat curtains block light and enhance the acoustics of any room, but they also support the interior design by beautifully framing windows. They are available in a wide range of colours, weaves and prints and are an excellent choice to support staff wellbeing thanks to the comfort and ambience these fabrics create.
