The Freedom Centre UK Church acquired Freedom House in Bath in 2008. Following renovations, the building became home to its church offices, youth rooms, art studio and also a Trauma Recovery Centre (TRC) in 2011. Now with further plans to develop the car park space, a brand-new auditorium is currently under construction.
Designed by SRA Architects the new 800 sq m two storey auditorium will have a stage and capacity for 400 people, plus multi-functional breakout spaces on the ground floor and mezzanine, and café and servery on the ground floor.
With a contemporary design, the ambition is to create a vibrant, clean and open space for the local community and for services on Sundays.
Working with Beard Construction, the Swanmac team will be onsite in May 2019 to install large radio-operated blackout blinds with zip channels and powder coated aluminium hardware. These blinds will enable users to manage light through remote control and the zip-channels ensure that the fabric is easily retained in a slim cassette. This ensures that the management of light is managed perfectly, whilst providing a stylish and discreet shading system. We’re looking forward to being on site!
