Bristol City Football Club’s Failand facility is the first Premier League Category 1 status football training academy in the South-West region.
Totalling 4,000 m2, this first-class professional football academy in Somerset was designed by KKA Architecture with development led by Beard Construction.
The centre provides a floodlit 500 seater show pitch which will host Bristol City’s Under-18 and Under-23 matches. It also houses 2 further full-sized pitches and training areas. The building itself provides a gym, changing rooms plus medical, physiotherapy and performance facilities. Additional offices, education and welfare services for the clubs younger players have been created, plus dining and parking facilities.
Swanmac will be onsite before Christmas 2020 to install a range of electric blackout blinds and rooflight blinds. Thanks to remote operation, these blinds have an almost silent operation and can be manipulated with precision at the touch of a button resulting in minimal disruption to those around.
