The £64m development of Fitzalan High School in Cardiff is the largest single project under the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools project.  It is being built to replace the current building which is extremely dilapidated and will provide exceptional facilities for over 1800 pupils.

The new school sits over three storeys and will provide around 18,000 sq ft of space including bright and airy classrooms, science labs, music studios, extensive sports facilities and a superb immersion studio that will recreate different environments such as aquariums and castles; the types of places that some students may never get to visit.

Roof lights and large windows have been designed to let light in vents for natural ventilation coupled with wide corridors and open learning spaces that will provide comfortable working environments for both students and staff.

The new school will open in the Spring of 2023 and our team will be onsite before this to install hundreds of heavy-duty roller blinds to all classroom windows.  These blinds are durable, and childsafe and will help staff maintain the comfortable working environment this school has been designed and built around.
