HM Revenue and Customers has transformed its UK-wide estate including its presence in the Welsh Capital. Ty William Morgan is just one of 14 brand new hubs across the UK and it houses over 4,000 FTE HMRC employees plus a further 500 staff from 12 other UK Government departments.
Located at 6 Central Square and close to Cardiff Central station, the hub is set across 12 floors in the centre of Cardiff, it comprises 25,000 sq m. Civil Servants began working in the building in February 2021 and enjoy a modern working environment designed to encourage smarter and collaborative working and attract and retain first-class staff. It is also supporting a more sustainable Government Estate by reducing its carbon footprint and water usage.
#TeamSwanmac has installed high-level electric heavy-duty sunscreen roller blinds in the atrium area. The total fixing eight is 8m, with a blind drop of 6m. The sunscreen fabric will ensure a substantial reduction in the amount of glare coming through the glaze of the windows.
