Swanmac is delighted to have been instructed by contractors Willmott Dixon on a phased refurbishment of Singleton Hospital in Swansea which is a phased scheme now underway and due for completion in January 2020.
The entire refurbishment will result in the hospital becoming a Centre of Excellence for a wide range of diagnostic, rehabilitation and treatment services. It will also provide beds that are under the care of GPs, which will help to ensure that people can remain close to their homes and avoid being placed on a ward before being sent home after a short stay.
We will be installing blackout roller blinds and vertical blinds to all external facing windows. Each of these popular Swanmac products helps to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and their families. Our blinds fabrics are designed to ensure that light is limited when in use, which is essential when patients need to rest on busy hospital wards. Additionally, our blinds help to ensure that an ambient room temperature is maintained, thanks to the blackout fabric which both manages sunlight coming into the room keeping the room cool, but simultaneously maintains temperature by ensuring that heat does not escape.
We very much look forward to working on this project with the team from Willmott Dixon during the next 18 months!
