The Swanmac team is looking forward to installing over 90 fully enclosed blackout blinds at the brand new International Conference Centre (ICC) in Newport.
The very first of its kind in Wales, the ICC is an £83 million joint venture between the Welsh Government and the Celtic Manor Resort which result in a 26,00 sqm conference and exhibition space that is expected to bring many thousands of visitors to South Wales.
The venue is a highly versatile space, with an auditorium for some 1500 guests, a large open exhibition space, meeting rooms and networking spaces. The centre is fully accessible to everyone and will even have dementia-friendly spaces.
The works are being carried out by contractor John Sisk and Son and the Swanmac team will be on-site in July, installing to the meeting rooms and main conference centre.
Total blackout is required in these areas to ensure that there is no distraction during presentations and meetings, whilst heat is maintained at ambient temperature.
Located just 2 minutes from the M4 and with its ability to hold 5,000 delegates at any one time, it is estimated that the ICC will bring in over £70 million per year to the Welsh economy.
