Since the 1960s the 11-storey railway station office building has been the gateway to the City of Plymouth. Now a tired building and in need of renovation, the building is part of an £80m regeneration and will become the new University of Plymouth Faculty of Health which is due to open in 2023.
Project managed by lead contractor Kier, the building is now called InterCity Place and has had all fixtures and fittings removed and replaced by medical training equipment.
The carbon impact of this project is reduced thanks to the refurbishment of the existing building, which will now become highly sustainable thanks to its heating, cooling and ventilation strategy; and as a part of a wider regeneration of a tired area of the city which will include a new hotel and multi-storey car park.
Our team will be onsite during Quarter 4 of 2022 to install Fire Retardent Curtains at this prestigious redevelopment. These curtains are all certified to the British Standard BS5867 and are available in a wide range of fabrics and colours.
