The location of a former nightclub in the centre of Swansea is currently being developed into a new high-tech office development. The Kingsway is a multimillion-pound scheme providing space for 600 jobs in the town centre. It aims to be carbon-zero and bring over £32 million annually to Swansea’s economy.
It comprises 114,000 sq ft of floor space across five storeys plus two underground levels. It will include flexible co-working spaces, conference facilities and offices for tech, digital and creative firms, retail units, and an events hall.
Working tenants will benefit from state-of-the-art digital connectivity, a roof terrace, greenery and balconies with views of the city centre and Swansea Bay.
The site will also include public access and a new pedestrian link between The Kingsway and Oxford Street in the town centre.
Thanks to huge windows, those working within will be able to enjoy significant levels of natural light. However, essential shading solutions must be available to create the optimum working environment. Swanmac Ltd has been instructed to install 300 high-quality sunscreen roller blinds throughout during February 2024.
