With an investment of £30m, the Lee Valley Ice Centre is set to become just one of just three Olympic-sized twin rinks in the UK. Both rinks will be larger than the single rink that they are replacing and will have a capacity to entertain over half a million visitors every year.
In addition to the rinks themselves, the centre will include a café, gym, exercise studios, and community spaces; plus the site will benefit from landscape and ecology redevelopment including new wetland areas.
The enhanced Lee Valley Ice Centre is expected to boost the local economy by £1.5m annually and to create 45 new jobs internally, plus a range of employment opportunities in the sports and leisure industry.
Working alongside Silent Gliss, #TeamSwanmac is installing high-quality electric roller blind systems which will be operated via the building management system to provide seamless and automated operation when required or programmed.
