Once a derelict shopping centre, Llys Cadwyn in Pontypridd, South Wales, is now a mixed-use development on the town’s riverfront. Comprising of three buildings, the £42m scheme comprises 10,700 sq m of offices, 2,400 sq m of community facilities, and cafe space.
Since its development, it has become an eye-catching focal point of the area, which has created many new jobs and increased footfall in the town, further supporting existing businesses. The project was led by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, who wanted to boost economic growth for Pontypridd and its immediate surrounding area.
The buildings have been rated BREEAM Excellent and have since become award-winning in the property and construction sectors.
