Since it was established in 1991, the Midlands Air Ambulance service has responded to over 63,000 incidents and it is now one of the busiest air ambulance services in the UK, providing lifesaving care throughout the West Midlands.
The service has been based in portable buildings at its headquarters in Cosford, until its new £12m purpose-built airbase and premises were given the go-ahead.
The new building will provide much-needed training space for staff who are expected to carry out high-level medical interventions under pressurised and challenging situations. The new location in Cosford has been carefully selected from over 500 sites considered, to provide the optimum response time for the area covered by the service.
Our team has been instructed to install fully enclosed blackout electric blinds and manual roller blinds, installed into Blindspace recessed blind boxes which create the illusion of an invisible blind when not in use.
