Plymouth University’s new Engineering and Design facility will transform Plymouth City Centre, by modernising and extending the existing Babbage building.

At an investment of £30m, the building is situated in the North Cross area of the city centre.  The redevelopment will create over 10,000 m2 of research and teaching space which has been designed to promote and encourage creativity, innovation, collaboration and wellbeing.

With state-of-the-art facilities, this sustainable development will re-use the existing infrastructure and be stripped back to the original concrete frame and create an interlocking series of single and double-height spaces.

Construction began in April 2021 and is led by contractor BAM and our team will commence a multi-product installation comprising fully enclosed blackout blinds, high-level electric roller blinds and chain-operated roller blinds.
