Project Description

Battersea is an iconic area of London and home to the now redeveloped Battersea Power Station. Close by, on Battersea Park Road, is the new site of Palmerston Court, one of Europe’s largest Passivhaus-standard developments.

With four buildings ranging from 11 to 19 storeys, the development is a mixed-use, with three student accommodation buildings providing 850 student beds, 35% of which will be affordable, plus a further commercial building, pub and events venue.

Designed to connect academia, innovation, and the commercial sector, the commercial building will provide space for university departments and start-ups.

Swanmac will be working under instruction from Deanestor and alongside main contractor Mace to install over 1000 blackout roller blinds with both manual and electric operation, with installation completed during the Spring of 2024.

As with all builds, blackout blinds help to reduce energy consumption by creating a comfortable, consistent thermal temperature, the perfect solution for Passivhaus developments.

In addition, all of our blinds are durable, available in a wide range of colours and fabrics, and wipe-clean, ensuring that they both perform and maintain a like-new appearance.
