Described as Brighton’s ‘ugliest building,’ the £72 million redevelopment of Preston Road is set to put the site back on the map—for good reasons!

The derelict 1960s building has been abandoned since the late 80s, and when the work is completed, it will provide 220 apartments across three 15-storey tower blocks.  Each block will offer a range of one, two and three-bed dwellings, and residents will also benefit from communal workspaces to the ground floor plus landscaped areas around the towers.   Thirty of these will be affordable homes with rents set at 80% of the local market level.

It’s expected that the redevelopment of Preston Road will give the local a boost of £140 million.

Midgard has instructed our team to install over 1000 blackout roller blinds plus 50 perfect-fit pleated blinds throughout.  Perfect-fit blinds fit seamlessly into window frames without the need for drilling or screwing in.  This type of blinds sits flush against the window, providing a neat and streamlined appearance, and they can be installed and removed quickly and easily without causing damage to the window.
