A brand new £31million development at Swansea University’s Bay campus will soon become home to the University’s Computational Foundry. The site will further enhance Swansea’s position as the leading university in Wales for computer science.
The Foundry will become the focal point for research collaborations and is expected to attract leading academics from across the globe, firmly positioning Swansea as a leading and computer science research centre. Designed by AHR Architects, the building will house facilities for over 150 researchers and also provide general teaching facilities.
Swanmac have been asked by contractors, Willmott Dixon, to install 250 roller blinds. Sunscreen blinds will be installed to office areas, providing the optimum working environment. Blackout blinds will be installed in meeting rooms and electric blinds in high-level atrium areas. The team will be starting on-site in August and will be due to complete the installation in September.
