This £486m project is a significant part of the redevelopment of the Brighton and Sussex University Hospital NHS Trust. With many existing site buildings dating back to 1828, the planning and development of this new Teaching, Trauma and Tertiary Centre (3Ts) in Brighton has involved extensive negotiation with planning authorities and English Heritage to deliver new state-of-the-art facilities.
Under construction by Laing O’Rourke, 3Ts will provide 361 beds, two-thirds of which will be single en-suite and provide care for elderly patients, general medicine, HIV and clinical infection, plus become the major trauma centre for the area.
The major redevelopment of the Royal Sussex County Hospital for Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust & Laing O’Rourke will establish the hospital as the major trauma centre for the region. The build will also include a helipad and underground car parking spaces.
Our team will be onsite during the Spring of 2022 to install a range of cubicle tracks, curtain tracks, plus manual and electric roller blinds throughout the building.
