The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff is one of the most iconic buildings in the Welsh capital. It competes alongside an international peer group of specialist art colleges for the very best music and theatre students on a global scale.
This £22.5 million project was completed in 2011 by Willmott Dixon Construction and now in 2019 has been ranked as the number 1 drama college in the UK by the Guardian for the fourth year!
The building comprises of a 450-seat concert hall, a courtyard theatre seating 160 and a public foyer that provides jazz for the public on Friday evenings and even hosts weddings outside of term times. There are also a suite of rehearsal and performance areas, plus exhibition facilities for musicians, actors, designers and stage managers.
Swanmac were delighted to have installed our blinds as part of the main contractual works throughout this world-class and iconic facility in Cardiff back in 2011. We’ll enjoy the performances of it’s budding theatrical and musical stars for many years to come!
