Cardiff’s Centre for Creative Industries
Location: Cardiff
Sector: Commercial
Specifier: Vinci Construction
Products used: Silent Gliss roller blinds

With creative services recognised as a strong and economically important sector for the principality, the Welsh Government supported the development of the GloWorks Centre for Creative Industries with a hope that it would lead to the creation of a sector cluster.

The Centre for Creative Industries was the first building in the sustainable quarter known as Porth Teigr based in the heart of Cardiff Bay.  The six-storey, 40,000 sq ft building, was constructed at a budget of £6million and built to Breeam standards to ensure that it’s environmentally credentials where of the best possible standard.

Contractors Vinci Construction were appointed based on their exemplary track record in sustainable development and having previously been the main contractor for the BBC Roath Lock development.

Swanmac were appointed by Vinci Construction to supply and install 200 Silent Gliss roller blinds. Stylish and space saving, these high-quality blinds enable maximum shading as required.

Completed in March 2014, this was a superb project to be a part of!
