The Somerset Digital Innovation Centre is an £11m project designed to boost Somerset’s digital economy in a post-Covid era.
Totalling over 2,500 sq m, the centre will comprise 4-storeys offering high-quality managed offices and workspaces plus a café and reception for local start-ups and SMEs. The purpose of the design and build is to attract new businesses and inward investment into the area, whilst encouraging collaboration and enabling ideation, thus creating highly-skilled jobs and contributing towards economic productivity in Somerset.
The design of the building itself uses large amounts of glass to enable as much natural light as possible to flood the building and maximise views across the Fire Pool site over which the centre sits.
Working with lead contractor Willmott Dixon, our installers will be onsite to install roller blinds throughout the building. Maximising natural light is essential to well-being and helps to improve productivity and creativity. However, it is also important the staff are protected from glare and that temperatures within the office and workspaces can be maintained. Our dimout roller blinds assist in this thanks to our wide range of shading fabrics available.
