The St David’s Hospice in Newport was recently expanded through a £5 million investment programme.
The project created an additional 15 bed specialist hospice for patients and was built adjacent to the existing building in Newport. This new unit replaces the smaller 10 bed facility that had been in existence for almost forty years, and cared for over 3,000 patients every year, all in need of palliative care.
The project was completed in May 2017 and Swanmac are delighted to have installed sunscreen roller blinds to the office areas. This includes a fantastic electrically operated roller blind with printed fabric, some 4 metres wide!
Working with contractor Andrew Scott, and KKE Architects on this project was a delight for us, and we’re very proud to help provide the very best working environment for staff who give the very best in end-of-life care.
