Following the development of Cardiff’s award-winning One Central Square, Willmott Dixon were appointed to deliver the £38m Taff Vale re-development. The scheme will result in an office-led regeneration in the heart of Pontypridd, with the development of three key buildings.
The development will site on the site of a former shopping precinct which has long needed developing and which is expected to bring much economic benefit to the region.
The scheme is ambitious and will deliver two office blocks, leisure and fitness centre, café, council customer contact point and a gateway building which will incorporate a 21st-century library. Thanks to its location, the development will be surrounded by striking views of the Welsh hillsides and will also include a riverside promenade.
Swanmac will be on-site in January 2020 to install specialist electric roller blinds that are shaped to suit curved windows. We’re delighted to have been briefed with this installation. Motorised roller blinds are both space-saving and flexible in that they can be installed to windows of any shape or size and allow blinds at height or in difficult to reach areas to be used as needed.
