The Department for Work and Pension’s Treforest Hub is one of the largest ever office schemes to be built in the South Wales Valleys.  The 13,000 sq ft building is due for completion shortly and forms part of the Government’s plans to grow strong civil servant bases throughout the UK.

This strategy to transform the Government’s estate will accommodate a UK-wide workforce in brand new purpose-built buildings, rather than the out-dated, high maintenance blocks that have traditionally gone hand-in-hand with civil service outposts.

The Treforest Hub will house 1,700 employees working on back-office and benefit processing operations, all currently managed across several sites in South Wales.

Designed by CWA Architects, and built by lead contractor BECT Construction, the Treforest Hub has been designed to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

#TeamSwanmac will be onsite during the Spring of 2021 to install over 500 sunscreen roller blinds. This is another exciting project to look forward to in 2021 alongside ISG.
