This project development will deliver 900 much-needed bed spaces for French campus students at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol).
Across 26,000 m2 the accommodation will comprise a mix of studios in four, six and eight-bed clusters across three blocks.
This is a significant development that once complete, will become one of the UK’s largest Passivhaus developments. Passivhaus, literally translated as Passive House, relates to buildings that have been designed according to stringent design to maintain a constant temperature within. This provides a high level of comfort for occupants whilst using very little energy for heating or cooling.
The site is due to be ready for its first intake of students for the 2023/24 academic year. #TeamSwanmac has been instructed by lead contractor Vinci, to install over 1000 manually operated dim-out roller blinds to all student bedrooms plus curtains in all communal areas.
