Thanks to the investment of over £6.5million, Watermore Primary School in South Gloucestershire is to be transformed into a single-site school. To date, the school has operated across two sites however, the new school means that the entire school will be in a single building.
Currently under construction, the new school will be able to support 420 pupils. It will have 12 classrooms, a school hall, kitchen and associated areas, plus a football pitch, play space and new car parking.
Main contractor Midas Construction began working on-site during the Summer and pupils will make use of the existing buildings as the new is built. The original buildings will then be demolished when the new build is complete.
The Swanmac team will be onsite in November 2019 to install Silent Gliss roller blinds to all classroom windows. Durable and wipe-clean, our Silent Gliss roller blinds will ensure that pupils are not disturbed by the sun’s glare, whilst the blinds will help to maintain pleasant study temperatures during cooler months. We will also install electric blinds to windows at height in the main hall.
We look forward to working alongside Midas Construction once again!
